States Shopping: Ruffles and Lace

As I briefly mentioned before, I went on a little road trip to Pennsylvania over the Easter long weekend to do some shopping! It was my first time at Grove City and it definitely did not disappoint (I mean, tax-free clothes and shoes compared to the 13% HST in Ontario?--hell yeah)! In three days, we tackled five malls and left with a car full of new purchases and empty wallets. Besides getting a life supply of business wear from Nordstrom Rack (and I mean a life supply of blazers, pencil skirts, and work-appropriate blouses), here's a sneak peek of some of the other things I purchased...


One of my favourite purchases this weekend. It's a light cream-coloured sheer and layered skirt with a side of ruffles by Theory that I found hidden in one of the racks at Saks Off 5th. Even 70% off it was a little pricey, but I love it. :)

Rose and peach coloured cardigans from J.Crew. White frills and jewel detailing.
Typical? Oh, I know. I picked up even more ruffle tops and sequin skirts to add to my growing collection. My wardrobe lately has been looking a little too girly, perhaps. I must own several ruffle tops in every possible colour and matching cardigans for each. What is something you own a lot of, but keep buying?

Tiffany blues.

Now that I'm done exams and I've moved back home for the summer, I feel like I have so much free time on my hands. All my friends are unfortunately still studying for finals, so that leaves me some 'alone' time for the week. Recommend me a book, a movie, a show, a recipe... anything! I'm thinking of doing a road/shopping trip to Pennsylvania this long weekend, so hopefully that pans out! Otherwise, not much is new with me, but let's hope I have more exciting things to share in my next entry. :)

Making red velvet cupcakes with the girls!


Rach and Pris worked on the cake while Jo and I worked on the icing, but we failed so miserably, they re-did it for us. HA!

Spent the long weekend in Pennsylvania/Buffalo. The wait to get to the States took freakin' THREE HOURS. It was ridiculous.

My work cubicle bombarded with computers -- ahhh! iMacs are just no longer exciting to me because I have one at home, but I still feel super lucky that my boss bought them purposely for me. And seriously though, why do I need TWO imacs and a PC all on one desk?! ...I don't.


A big batch of chocolate covered strawberries! Of course they turned out sloppily... but eh.
