Old Spaghetti Factory.

Nothing beats meeting up for drinks and dinner after a long day of work with some lovely girlfriends. Last week, we caught up over some delicious pasta on the patio of The Old Spaghetti Factory.

I've been blogging really infrequently lately, but I've just been so busy with work that it has become lowest on my priority list. I'm trying to catch up with e-mails and questions, but I've found the most common thing readers have been asking me, is what kind of camera I'm using. I find it hilarious because I don't own, nor have I ever owned, a DSLR. As much as I've been eyeing them for years and I plan to pick one up by the end of the summer, I've been using my trusty little Canon Powershot SD1200. I'm not a photographer so I don't have many tips on that regard, but what I've found with point-and-shoots, is that they are capable of doing much more than most people realize. It's all about experimentation. Read the manual, but experiment on your own - it's all trial-and-error! When you get familiar with your own camera, you'll be surprised at the improvement in quality. You too can trick people into thinking you're rockin' a swanky fancy camera!

i cannot believe all your photos are taken by a point and shoot! amazing quality.

Love you Becks!

And you are a pro photog, even with a point-and-shoot. Beats a lot of "pro photogs" with supposed DSLRs...

hey, seems like the weather in Toronto is way better than in Vancouver. We are having so much rain lately. For some odd reasons, I've always thought you shoot using a DSLR since your photo qualities are pretty good (in terms of color and composition) hehe...I guess your right, knowing your camera and playing with diff settings can improve the photos a lot! Btw, the food looks so yummy :)

We have the same camera! Okay I guess Im cheating a bit because I don't use it anymore, I dropped it once and the image stabilization hasn't been the same, basically if it's not mounted on a tripod or something super steady there's lots of blur in the photograph =( Sad because I really loved the camera! It looks like you had a great time and I agree, dinner with friends is one of the best ways to unwind after a long day at work!

P.s This makes me want to visit my spaghetti factory that I haven't been to for ages!

These photos are wonderful! My point and shoots, sucks. It has no functions and I can't change any settings. I only have a few pre-set settings that I can use :) I have been saving up for a new, batter camera. :) maybe this Canon one is also a good one! x

Oh yum! The food looks delish.

I'm on the market for a new camera, and while I should take the DSLR plunge, I'm thinking of getting the Canon S95 (p+s). The reviews for that camera are top notch.
